Delhi-Style Ram Ladoo Coming Your Way In 3,2,1...

Ram Ladoo or fried Moong Dal Bites topped with mint chutney, masala and chopped radish is one of the most beloved chaat items of Delhi. Here’s how you can recreate the dish at home.  

Ingredients

-200 gms dhuli moong dal -100 gms channa dal -To taste- salt -2-3 chopped green chilli -1-inch-long piece ginger -1 tbsp coriander leaves -To fry refined oil

Step 1

Wash and clean the dals, soak them separately for 5-6 hours, strain the water and grind it without adding water to it 

Step 2

Transfer ground dal in a bowl, add salt, green chillies, ginger, coriander leaves, some water and mix well. Whisk the batter thoroughly.  

Step 3

Take a non-stick pan or kadhai. Heat oil, and drop small portions of dal mixtures and make as many ladoos you can. They will start floating on top. 

Step 4

Fry on medium flame till golden, serve hot topped with green chutney and grated radish.
