If you want to try something healthy among all the fried cravings this monsoon, take a break. This dalia upma recipe is a perfect monsoon comfort for you. It is light, healthy, and delicious with every bite!
1 cup dalia 2 tablespoons oil or ghee 1 teaspoon mustard seeds 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 onion 1 carrot 1/2 cup green peas 1-2 green chilies 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder Salt to taste 3 cups water Fresh coriander leaves Juice of 1 lemon
Dry roast 1 cup dalia first in the pan and remove it. Then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, onion, carrot, green peas, and green chilies in oil or ghee.
Add the roasted dalia, turmeric powder, and salt with 3 cups of water.
Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 15 minutes.
Add lemon juice and garnish with coriander. Serve hot.
