Mahatma Gandhi is probably the most famous historical figure globally. Known for his passion for non violence and simplicity, he has had his share of struggles that made him the global figure he is today. But something that we can relate with is the love Gandhi had for food, just like us. Here are 5 of his favorite foods!

This dish is made of lentils cooked in butter and represents the simplicity Gandhi held close.

Methi Chutney

This condiment is made with coriander seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, chilli pepper, ginger and fennel seeds. It's mainly used as an accompaniment to Indian-style curries and as an ingredient in pakoras (vegetable fritters).
