Crunchy Palak Patta Chaat For A Refreshing Spinach Snack

Palak patta chaat is a yummy Indian street food made with crispy spinach leaves, tangy chutneys, and flavourful spices, offering a perfect balance of textures and tastes in every bite.

Ingredients

15-20 fresh spinach leaves (palak) 1 cup gram flour (besan) 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder Salt to taste Water (as needed) Oil for frying 1 cup curd (whisked) 1/2 cup tamarind chutney 1/2 cup mint chutney 1/2 cup chopped onions 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes 1/2 cup sev Chaat masala for garnish coriander leaves for garnish

Step 1

Combine gram flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt in a bowl. Gradually add water to form a smooth batter.

Step 2

Now, wash the spinach leaves and dip each spinach leaf into the batter.

Step 3

In a pan, heat the oil and fry the coated spinach leaves until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on a napkin.

Step 4

Place the fried spinach leaves on a serving plate. Drizzle whisked curd, tamarind chutney, and mint chutney.

Step 5

Now, sprinkle chopped onions, tomatoes, chaat masala, and sev on top before serving.
