Indulge in the traditional taste of Kerala with Pazham Pori, a delightful snack featuring ripe bananas coated in a crispy batter and deep-fried to perfection.
2 ripe bananas (preferably Nendran bananas) 1 cup all-purpose flour 2 tbsp rice flour 1 tbsp sugar 1/4 tsp turmeric powder A pinch of salt Water, as needed Oil, for deep frying
In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rice flour, sugar, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
Now Gradually add water to the mixture, stirring continuously, to make the batter smooth and thick.
Now Peel the bananas and slice them lengthwise into thin pieces. In a pan heat oil.
Coat each banana slice into the batter, Gently fry them until golden brown and crispy on both sides.
Drain excess oil on a napkin. Serve the crispy Kerala Pazham Pori as a delicious snack.
