Palak Pata Chaat is a popular Indian street food dish that combines crispy spinach leaves with tangy chutneys, yoghurt, and spices. It's a delightful blend of textures and flavours, perfect as an appetiser or snack. Here’s a step-by-step recipe to make this delicious chaat
15-20 fresh spinach leaves (palak) 1 cup gram flour (besan) 1/2 cup rice flour 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1/2 tsp cumin powder Salt Oil
1 cup thick yoghurt 1/2 cup tamarind chutney 1/2 cup green chutney (mint-coriander chutney) 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder 1/2 tsp chaat masala 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1/2 cup sev 1 onion 1 tomato
In a bowl, combine the gram flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, and salt.
Gradually add water to the mixture, whisking continuously to form a smooth, lump-free batter.
Heat oil in a kadhai. Dip each spinach leaf into the batter and fry. Place the crispy spinach leaves on a serving plate.

Drizzle whisked yoghurt generously over the fried leaves. Add tamarind chutney and green chutney. Sprinkle roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, red chilli powder, and salt over the top.
Garnish with sev, finely chopped onions, tomatoes and fresh coriander leaves.
