Step 1

In a bowl, add gram flour, chopped onions, chillies and spices.

Step 2

Make a batter that is runny but firm, with medium consistency.

Step 3

Heat up mustard oil in a pan. Take spoonfulls of the batter and deep fry them in the oil.

Step 4

Strain the oil. Serve the pakodas with chai and ketchup.
