These crunchy and delicious tofu nuggets offer a guilt-free spin on traditional nuggets. They are the ideal Sunday snack because they are loaded with protein and baked to perfection.
1 block of firm tofu 1/4 cup cornstarch 1/2 cup whole wheat bread crumbs 1 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/2 tsp onion powder 1/2 tsp dried oregano 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp black pepper 2 tbsp nutritional yeast (optional) 2 tbsp soy sauce 2 tbsp olive oil
Preheat your oven to 220°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Drain and Cut the tofu into bite-sized nugget shapes. In a bowl, combine the cornstarch with a pinch of salt.
In a separate shallow bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, paprika, garlic powder and onion powder.
Add dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and nutritional yeast . Dip each tofu nugget into the cornstarch mixture.
Press the Bake the tofu nuggets for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Take a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce and 1 tbsp of olive oil. Brush tofu with the sauce.
Serve the healthy tofu nuggets hot with your favorite dipping sauce. Enjoy!
