A Veg Cutlet with mixed vegetables, herbs, and spices makes for a great tea-time snack. Did you know cutlets are one of the most popular snacks worldwide? Here is how to make it:
2 tbsp oil 5 cloves garlic ½ tsp chilli flakes 1 onion 1 carrot 3 tbsp peas ½ capsicum ½ tsp turmeric ½ tsp chilli powder ½ tsp cumin powder ½ tsp garam masala ½ tsp pepper powder 1 tsp salt 3 potato 2 slice bread ¼ cup milk ½ cup poha, soaked 2 tbsp coriander 2 tbsp corn flour ½ cup maida ½ cup corn flour
Heat oil; sauté garlic cloves and chilli flakes.
Add chopped onion, and sauté until soft.
Add carrot, peas, capsicum, and spices mentioned above.
Cook on low until aromatic, then mix in mashed potatoes.
Add bread, poha, and coriander; mix into a dough.
Shape into cutlets, prepare slurry with maida, corn flour, pepper and salt, and water.
Dip cutlets in slurry, coat with breadcrumbs, and deep fry until golden.
Drain excess oil, and enjoy with sauce!
