Originating from Puerto Rico, this iconic cocktail combines the sweetness of pineapple with the creamy richness of coconut, making it a perfect refreshing and indulgent choice for sipping poolside or at a beach party.
2 60 ml white rum 4 120 ml pineapple juice 2 60 ml coconut cream Ice cubes Pineapple slices and maraschino cherries for garnish
In a blender, combine the white rum, pineapple juice, coconut cream, and a handful of ice cubes. Blend until smooth and creamy, adjusting the consistency with more ice or liquid as desired.
Pour the mixture into glasses and garnish each with a pineapple slice and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately and enjoy the tropical flavours of a homemade Piña Colada.
For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum and increase the amount of pineapple juice and coconut cream for a virgin Piña Colada.
