Craving Street Food? Make Easy Street-Style Chowmein At Home

Ingredients

10 cups water 1 tsp salt 1 packet hakka noodles 2 tbsp oil 10 garlic cloves 1-inch chopped ginger 3 green chilies 1 chopped onion 1 cup cabbage 1/2 cup sliced carrot 1/2 cup sliced capsicum Handful of spring onion 1 tbsp red chili sauce 1 tbsp green chili sauce 1 tsp soya sauce 1 tbsp tomato ketchup Salt to taste 1/2 tsp pepper powder

Step 1

Heat a pan and add water to boil. Once the bubble appears, add 1 tsp of salt, Hakka noodles, and boil until 80 per cent.

Step 2

When done, turn off the flame and drain the noodles. Wash them with cold water and toss them with 1 tsp oil.

Step 3

Heat a pan and add 2 tbsp of oil. Add chopped garlic, ginger, green chilies and saute well.

Step 4

Add onion, chopped cabbage, 1/2 sliced carrot, 1/2 cup sliced capsicum, spring onion greens and mix well. Cook

Step 5

Add red chilli sauce, green chilli sauce, soya sauce, tomato ketchup, and mix well. Add salt and pepper powder.

Step 6

Add in the boiled noodles and toss to cook for 2 minutes.

Step 7

After 2 mins, turn off the flame and garnish with green onions. Serve and enjoy!
