Momos are without a doubt the most popular snack in the city, and possibly the entire nation. These days, a wide range of strange experiments are being done with this delicacy.
For momos dough 2 + 1/2 cup all purpose flour maida 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp water 1 tsp oil For momos filling 2 cup onion finely chopped 1 cup carrot finely chopped 1 cup paneer crumbled 3 tsp cooking oil To taste Salt 1 tsp black pepper powder 2 tbsp white vinegar 1 tsp dark soy sauce For gravy 3 tbsp momos chutney 3 tbsp fresh cream 1 cup onion sliced 1 tsp grated ginger 1 tbsp chilli flakes 2 tbsp coriander leaves
First make momo dough by taking maida and salt in a bowl, add water and mix it till the dough becomes soft.
For veg momos stuffing in a wide pan add oil, carrot and saute it for a few seconds on medium flame. Now add onions and saute it well.
Add grated paneer, salt, black pepper, soy sauce, and vinegar. Take paneer pieces and fry for a few seconds and allow the stuffing to cool before you prepare momos.
To prepare gravy Add momos chutney in a bowl and add cream to it. Take chopped coriander leaves, sliced onion, chili flakes in 1:1 ratio.
Blend all the ingredients until they are all Combined well. Now your gravy is ready. Keep it aside.
Make small balls from the dough and make it flat now using a rolling pin to shape the momos.
Put vegetable momos stuffing in the center. Start pleating the edge and join the edges and seal the momos.
Boil some water in a momo maker/ vessel. Oil the sieve and place the momos at some distance onto it.
Cover the sieve over the vessel when the water starts simmering. and keep the momos to steam for 10 minutes.
When momo turns shiny, take them out on a plate and drop them into the gravy, coat well. Heat the pan and cook the gravy momos
Give a gentle mix and And here's your delicious gravy momos ready to serve.
