In India, pickles complete every meal, especially mango pickles. It pairs well with paratha dal-chawal, or any other Indian dish you are eating. If you have run out of mango pickles at home, this is the right time because you can easily get raw mangoes from the farmer’s market. Here are a few mango pickles that are a must-try.
Add turmeric powder, lemon juice, red chilli powder, and mustard powder to chopped or grated raw mangoes. Enjoy it with your favourite dish.
Cook grated raw mangoes with vinegar, spices, and sugar until the mixture thickens and becomes tangy and sweet.
Cut raw mangoes, and toss them with spices like fenugreek seeds, salt, turmeric powder, mustard seeds, and mustard oil. Allow it to ferment before eating.
Toss raw mangoes with garlic, spices, mustard oil, and green chillies. Keep it aside in a covered container for a few days and enjoy it with paratha.
Slice raw mangoes and stuff them with grounded spices like mustard seeds, fennel seeds, and red chilli powder. Seal the jar with oil and enjoy after a few days.
Season chopped mangoes with nigella seeds, fenugreek seeds, fennel seeds, and mustard seeds. Toss in mustard oil and let the mixture ferment for a few days.
Cook raw mango slices with sugar, cloves, vinegar, and cinnamon. Once the slices tenderise and the syrup thickens, turn off the flame, let it cool, and enjoy.
