South Indian onion bhaji is the ultimate comfort food to pair with your evening tea. It is fulfilling and keeps you satiated for long. If you are looking for a fried snack recipe, you should try this.
1 tsp red chilli powder 2 medium onion ½ tsp cumin, baking soda ¼ tsp turmeric powder ¾ cup water 2 tbsp rice flour 200 grams of besan 2 cups of oil Coriander leaves Salt to taste
Combine all the dry ingredients in a deep vessel. Add a couple of tablespoons of oil to it.
Add water to prepare a thick batter without lumps.
Leave it aside to rest for 10 minutes and let baking soda work its magic.
Heat oil in a heavy-bottom kadhai, dip slices of onion in the batter, and deep-fry fritters.
When the bhajis are crispy, take them out on a paper towel.
Enjoy South Indian onion bhaji with green chutney.
