To make dhaba-style paneer curry, you need to be patient while preparing the masala mixture and gravy for it. If you are in a hurry, you cannot prepare a lip-smacking delight at home. Here is a quick recipe to try.
For Marination ¼ tsp turmeric 20 paneer cubes Salt to taste 1 tbsp ghee/ butter/ oil ½ tsp chilli powder ¼ tsp garam masala 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste For Dhaba Masala 3-4 cloves 2 tsp coriander seeds ½ tsp fennel, pepper ½ inch cinnamon 1 tsp cumin 2 cardamom
1 bay leaf 1 tsp cumin, chilli powder ¼ tsp garam masala, turmeric ½ cup water, curd 2 tbsp oil, butter 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 2 cloves, cardamom 2 tbsp chopped coriander Salt to taste 1 tsp kasuri methi 1-inch cinnamon 1 chopped onion 2 chopped tomatoes
Combine all the ingredients for marination in a deep bowl and gently toss paneer cubes in it.
To make the spice powder, roast the mentioned spices in a pan, let them cool, and blend into a fine powder.
Start preparing the curry by heating oil and butter in a heavy bottom kadhai and sauteing whole spices.
Add onions, and once they are translucent, add tomatoes, dhaba-style masala mix, and spices.
Once the oil separates, add curd and water to the kadhai. After simmering for 10 minutes, add paneer cubes.
Once the curry comes to a boil, sprinkle garam masala, kasuri methi, and coriander leaves. Serve and enjoy.
