Cottage Cheese Cheesecake For A High-Protein Dessert

Make your cheesecakes healthier by giving them a cottage cheese twist. This is a high-protein cheesecake recipe that tastes absolutely the same, if not better and is quite easy to prepare at home.

Ingredients

2 cups cottage cheese 1 cup Greek yoghurt 1/2 cup honey or sugar 3 eggs 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 1 tablespoon of lemon juice 1 tablespoon of cornflour 1 cup Graham cracker crumbs 1/4 cup melted butter

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 175°C/350°F. Melt butter and combine with Graham cracker crumbs. Press the mixture into a 9-inch springform pan bottom.

Step 2

Blend cottage cheese, Greek yoghurt, eggs, honey or sugar, lemon juice, vanilla essence, and cornflour in a blender. Blend till smooth.

Step 3

Cover the crust with the mixture. Bake until the centre is firm, about 50 to 60 minutes.

Step 4

Once the cheesecake has reached room temperature, chill it for a minimum of four hours or overnight.
