Cool And Creamy Turai Raita Recipe To Try

Turai (ridge gourd) raita is a light and refreshing side dish that pairs well with rice or roti. It adds a nutritious and flavourful twist to your meal. 

Step 1

Peel and chop 1 cup turai. Boil until tender, then drain and cool. 

Step 2

Whisk 1 cup yoghurt with salt, ½ tsp cumin powder, and a pinch of black salt. 

Step 3

Gently mix the cooled boiled turai into the yoghurt base. 

Step 4

Heat 1 tsp oil, add mustard seeds, and curry leaves, and pour over the raita. 

Step 5

Garnish with chopped coriander and serve chilled with your meal!
