Pre - Heat

Pre- heat the cooker like you pre-heat an oven. Pre-heating ensures that all sides of your cake are evenly cooked. It's recommended to pre-heat for 8-10 minutes.

Greasing

Greasing the tin is important as it ensures your cake doesn't stick and is smoothly taken out. Grease with parchment paper or just use oil and flour.

Vinegar

Add some vinegar to your cake’s batter and whisk it for at least 2-3 minutes to make the batter fluffier. This will ensure you get a spongier cake.

Salt/ Sand

Usually, a stand is used to place the tin in place and bake the cake evenly. But if you don't have one, you can spread salt or sand into the cooker to make sure the tin is put in place.

Without Whistle

Don't use the whistle in case you're using a pressure cooker with one. The baking process will happen with the trapped heat and steam generated by the batter, which will slowly release from the opening on the top. Make sure you use a wide-base pressure cooker so that the cake is cooked evenly from all sides.
