Coffee is the solution to all our problems. And if your favourite cuppa isn’t perfect, the day is ruined. Here are 5 mistakes to avoid while brewing coffee.
Not storing coffee properly
Roasted beans have several tiny holes in them that tend to absorb moisture and alter the taste. Make sure to store them in an air-tight container at room temperature in a cool, dry space.
Don't grind beans in bulk
Powdered beans gradually lose aroma and taste. So, make it a point to grind in smaller batches and consumer within a month.
Don't roast the beans in bulk
Try to roast for a week's supply only always. And store the roasted beans in an airtight jar to retain their flavour.
Pouring boiling water on the coffee
Hot boiling water may burn the coffee. Boil the water, wait for one minute to bring down its temperature, and then pour the coffee.
Not using the right ratio of coffee and water
It's a common mistake to use too little or too much coffee. A decent cup requires 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds for every 180 ml of water.
