1 cup rice 1/2 cup green moong dal 2 tbsp tuar dal 2 tbsp ghee 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 1 medium sized potato chopped 1 medium sized onion finely chopped 1/2 cup peas 2 medium sized tomato 1 cup spinach puree (blanch the spinach and grind it) 1 tsp cumin 4-6 cloves 1 green chili chopped 1 small piece of cinnamon

1 bay leaf 1 cup chopped mixed vegetables (such as carrots, capsicum, beans, cauliflower, etc.) 1/4 tsp asafetida 1 tsp kitchen king garam masala 1 tsp turmeric powder salt to taste Ingredients for Tadka: 1 tbsp ghee 8-10 garlic cloves 1 tbsp red chili powder

20 minutes before making khichdi, wash the lentils and rice together and keep them separate from the water.
