Yellow mung dal, 1 cup Ghee, 1/4-1/2 cup Milk, 2-2.5 cups Sugar, 3/4 cup Green cardamom powder, 1/2 tsp Chopped mixed nuts 2 tbsp + garnish

Wash the yellow mung dal 2-3 times and soak it for 5-6 hours.

Dry the dal with kitchen napkins to remove the excess moisture from and grind it in a mixer coarsely.

Now heat the ghee in a heavy bottomed pan and add the coarsely ground dal to cook on a low to medium flame till it is aromatic and golden-brown in colour.

Add the milk and mix it well and cook till the liquid is absorbed.

Add in the sugar and continue cooking until the sugar melts and ghee begins to separate.

Finally, add the cardamom powder and nuts before serving hot and enjoy.
