Coffee Style Guide: Your Cue To Brew In These Ways

By Jasmine Kaur

From espresso to aeropress and immersion brewing, here are a few coffee-brewing styles that are a must-try for the coffee lovers out there.

Espresso

A viable substitute for expensive coffee machines, the espresso forces hot water, with high pressure, down ground coffee beans and results in a strong and bold shot.

Moka Pot

A three-level brewing method, the steamed pressure forces water from the bottom chamber to the second, where it mixes with ground coffee and gives us the brewed outcome in the top one.

Immersion Brewing

For a full-bodied robust brew, add ground coffee and water to the French press and let it steep. Then press the plunger and let the coffee separate and brew.

Pour Over  Brewing

The hot water is poured over ground coffee placed in a cone-shaped filter kept on a pouring jar. The coffee slowly seeps in the jar and results in a bright and clean brew.

Aeropress

To achieve a balance between brewing time and pressure, aeropress is the best. The coffee is ground once the plunger is pressed from the chamber.
