Have you tried this traditional healthy coffee drink of Kerala?
4 cups water, 1 tsp dry ginger powder, 1 tsp pepper powder, 1 tsp instant coffee, 20 tulsi leaves, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 4 cardamom pods, 3 tsp jaggery, salt to taste
Boil water in a saucepan, add jaggery and stir until it dissolves.
Then add in dry ginger powder, cumin seeds, coffee powder, black pepper and boil for about four minutes.
Now add tulsi leaves and let the mixture boil for two minutes.
Then add cardamom powder, a bit of salt and switch off the heat.
Strain the Chukku Kaapi into serving cups and serve hot.
