Sugar-coated almonds are a traditional and delicious Christmas treat. They are crunchy almonds covered in a shiny, sugary coating. With their wonderful crunch, these candied delicacies provide a joyful spirit to the festive season and are treasured as part of holiday traditions.

Step 1

In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of almonds, ½ cup of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of water over medium heat. 

Step 2

Stir continuously until the sugar dissolves, creating a syrup that coats the almonds. 

Step 3

Continue cooking until the syrup caramelizes, giving the almonds a golden hue. 

Step 4

Spread the almonds on a parchment-lined tray, separating them to prevent clumping as they cool. 

Step 5

Once cooled, enjoy these sweet and crunchy sugar-coated almonds, perfect for festive snacking or as delightful Christmas treats.
