Smoothies without ice that are prepared with warm or room-temperature ingredients are excellent for winter.
1 cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk (or other milk of choice) 1 ounce cold water 1 scoop protein powder 1/4 cup rolled oats 1 tablespoon cocoa powder 1 medium banana, sliced 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 pitted Medjool date
Heat the almond milk in a saucepan (or the microwave). Blend 2 ounces of the heated almond milk along with the cold water.
Blend in the remaining ingredients until smooth. Stirring with a spoon after adding hot milk to the smoothie.
Pour the smoothie into a bowl or glass. Add oats, cocoa, or any additional preferred toppings as a garnish.
