Winter season is already here and now we are just waiting for New Year. Winter season brings sweet potatoes in abundance. Although sweet potatoes are available throughout the year, the freshest harvests are still made during the winter season. There are several recipes that you can make with sweet potatoes this season. Sweet Potato Chips

Shakarkandi Chaat 

This is widely enjoyed in parts of North India. The star ingredient of this dish are roasted or fried sweet potato cubes which are then topped with spicy, sour chaat masala and other toppings.

Sweet Potato Paratha 

This is not the regular aloo paratha but is made with sweet potatoes along with some aromatic spices. These parathas are served with yoghurt, chutney, pickles or just a dollop of ghee.

Shakarkandi Gulgule 

This is also known as sweet potato gulab jamun. The gulgule is made of sweet potatoes, gram flour and other aromatic spices and are deep fried to perfection. They are then dipped in sugar syrup.
