Bengalis are known to make delicious dishes of sea-food and prawns. The sheer variety of the recipes will get you amazed. Here is a recipe for the famous chingri maacher malai curry.
250 gms prawns Mustard oil Ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp haldi 1 tsp jeera 1 tsp dhaniya 5-6 green chillies Fresh cream Salt as per taste
Clean the prawns and marinate with salt and turmeric. Shallow fry them in mustard oil.
In the same oil, add ginger garlic paste. Cook for a couple minutes and add powdered spices.
Add the prawns after 4-5 minutes. Cook in the masala for a couple more minutes and add water.
Add the green chillies and fresh cream. Simmer for 2 minutes and take off the heat.
