With the sun’s rays intensifying, nothing can be better than enjoying a chilled glass of muskmelon juice to quench your thirst and revitalise your senses. Bursting with flavours and packed with nutrients like vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, muskmelon, also known as cantaloupe, offers a delightful sweetness that perfectly complements the summer heat. Follow these steps to make a rejuvenating muskmelon juice.
2 ripe muskmelons 1 tablespoon of honey or sugar (optional) Juice of 1 lime or lemon A handful of mint leaves Ice cubes (optional)
Wash the muskmelon thoroughly and cut them into halves. Scoop out the seeds and discard them. Peel the muskmelon and chop them into chunks.
Place the muskmelon chunks in the blender and add honey or sugar of desired for extra sweetness. Squeeze lemon juice to enhance its flavour. Toss a few fresh mint leaves and blend everything until smooth and well combined.
If you prefer a smoother juice, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh and remove any pulp of fibres.
Pour the juice into the glass filled with ice cubes. Garnish with a sprig of mint or slice of lemon. Add chaat masala or black salt for extra flavour.
