A creamy, cheesy pasta filled with colourful veggies can bring smiles all around. Easy to prepare and loved by little ones, this special dish adds a joyful, tasty touch to their Childrens’ Day celebration.
1 cup pasta (penne, macaroni, or any pasta) 1 tbsp butter or olive oil 1 small onion 1 clove garlic
1 small carrot ¼ cup corn kernels ¼ cup bell pepper ½ cup milk 2 tbsp cream or grated cheese Salt and pepper, to taste Mixed herbs (oregano, basil) Fresh parsley
In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a pan, heat butter or olive oil. Add onions and garlic, and sauté until onions turn translucent. Add carrots, corn, and bell peppers, and cook for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender.
Pour in the milk, then add cream or cheese if using. Stir well until the mixture becomes creamy. Season with salt, pepper, and mixed herbs.
Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss until the pasta is coated in the sauce. Cook for another 1–2 minutes.
Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
