Vellai Paniyaram is a classic Chettinad delicacy that doesn't need fermentation, ensuring a speedy and hassle-free preparation. Creating a delightful snack with a crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy interior. It pairs wonderfully with any Kaara Chutney, creating a harmonious balance of flavours.

1 cup Raw rice White whole urad dal-measure it heaped above rice. ½ tsp Salt 300 ml Oil

Wash and soak the rice and dal for a few hours. Drain the water and grind it to a thick consistency.

Transfer the paniyaram batter to a bowl and add some water, making sure that the consistency of the batter is pourable. Not too thick or too thin.

Heat oil in a kadhai, and pour a ladle full of batter in the center and let it cook, once it comes up turn to cook from the other side. Once done, take it on a plate. Enjoy
