Cheesy Spinach Open Toast is a mouthwatering appetiser that features the delectable pairing of cheese and spinach.
3 cups chopped Spinach 4 cloves Garlic , finely sliced 1/4 cup Onion , finely chopped 2 tablespoon Fresh cream 1/2 cup Milk , mixed with teaspoons of cornflour 1 tablespoon Butter Red Chilli flakes , as required Salt , to taste Black pepper powder , to taste 3/4 cup Mozzarella cheese , grated 8 whole wheat bread or baguette slices
Start by melting butter in a pan before making the Cheesy Spinach Open Toast. Fry the garlic until it is fragrant and golden.
Add the onion and stir briefly on high. After it's done, add the spinach and cook it for 2 minutes on high.
Stir in the milk and corn flour mixture, and cook the mixture just until it starts to thicken.
Add chilli flakes and salt and pepper to taste. When the mixture is smooth and thick, add cream and simmer over high heat. To prevent burning, keep stirring.
Once it has thickened and become creamy, turn off the heat and let it cool.
Set the oven's temperature to 180 degrees Celsius. On each slice, equally distribute one spoonful of the mixture.
Pre-heat the oven at 180 degrees centigrade. Spread a spoonful of mixture evenly on each slice of bread/baguette.
Place the prepared toasts on a grill in a preheated oven for 8 to 9 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
Yummy crisp toast are ready garnish with grated mozzarella and Enjoy!
