Enjoy the delicious flavours of cheesy baked cabbage, a hearty and aromatic dish that combines the richness of melted cheese with the sweetness of cabbage. It will quickly become a favourite at your dinner table and is great as a side dish or a main course.

Ingredients

1 medium size cabbage head cut into 1inch slices (around4)  2 tbsp tahina paste    25 ml coconut milk   1 tbsp chilli garlic sprinkle @maribkitchen   2 cloves garlic   ½ tsp dried Italian herbs   1 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes   Salt to taste   ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar   Water  to make the dressing   2 tsp balsamic glaze for topping   Handfull of crushed roasted peanuts for topping

Step 1

Prepare the dressing by combining all the ingredients. Aim for a consistency that is pourable yet thick. Use a blender to blitz the ingredients if needed.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Celsius. Arrange the cabbage slices on an oven tray or silicon mat. Generously coat both sides of the cabbage with the dressing, ensuring it gets into all the crevices.

Step 3

Place the coated cabbage in the oven and bake for approximately 25-35 minutes, being careful not to let it burn. Flip the cabbage slices once during baking to ensure even cooking. For a crisp finish, increase the temperature to 175 degrees Celsius for the last 5 minutes.

Step 4

Remove the cabbage from the oven and serve it warm. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with peanuts. For an extra kick, add more chili garlic sprinkle if desired. Enjoy this delicious dish as a main course or side dish. It's incredibly tasty and satisfying!
