You must have tried urad dal vada and medu vada, but crispy chana dal vadas are perfect snacks to go with your evening tea. You can also enjoy them for breakfast. Here is a simple recipe to try.
1-inch cinnamon 1 cup chana dal 1-2 dried red chillies 1 chopped onion ¾ tsp cumin, saunf seeds 1-2 green chillies Oil for deep frying 4-5 pudina leaves 7-8 curry leaves Salt as needed
Wash chana dal thoroughly and keep it aside for at least 2 hours for soaking.
Grind it into a smooth paste along with green chillies, red chillies, saunf, and cumin seeds.
Heat ghee in a pan and saute chana dal, onions, and curry leaves. Add to the chana dal mix.

Add chopped mint leaves. Check if you can knead the mixture into a dough. You can add ½ cup rava for crispiness.
While the oil heats in kadhai, you make tikkis of the chana dal mix.
Deep-fry tikkis or air fry them until crispy. Serve with tea and green mint chutney.
