Chana Dal Pulao For Quick, Easy. Wholesome Meal

Made with vegetables, rice and spices, pulao is easy-to-make, wholesome and helps you put together a meal in just no time. 

Ingredients

1 cup rice (soaked) 1 onion 1 tomato   ½ cup chana dal (soaked) ½ tsp cumin seeds 1 cinnamon sticks

Ingredients

¼ tsp turmeric powder ¼ tsp coriander powder 6-7 black peppercorn 2 whole red chillies Salt, as per taste 1 tsp ginger garlic 

Step 1

Pour oil into a pressure cooker and add cumin, let it crackle and then add cinnamon, black pepper, whole red chilli, crushed ginger-garlic, and onion. 

Step 2

Fry them a little and then add tomatoes, turmeric, coriander powder, salt and cook for some time.

Step 3

Now add a bowl of soaked rice and chana dal to it. Mix everything well and add water to it.

Step 4

Cook for 2-3 whistles and your protein-rich chana dal pulao is ready to be relished.

Step 5

You can serve chana dal pulao with some curd and achaar by the side.
