Sooji ka halwa is another staple in the Ram Navami bhog. The sweet delight melts in the mouth and leaves you feeling satiated. It is the easiest halwa recipe to replicate in the kitchen. Tap to note the guide.
⅓ cup ghee ½ cup sooji 8-10 cashews 2 tbsp raisins ⅓ cup sugar ½ tsp cardamom powder 1.25 cups water
Saute cashews in ghee and keep them aside. Crush with mortar and pestle.
Add sooji to the ghee and saute it until it is golden brown.
Add water and sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves.
In 5-6 minutes, the mixture will start reducing.
Turn off the flame and sprinkle cardamom powder.
Add cashews and raisins on the top and serve.
