If you want your food to taste better and be healthier, you need to use cooking oil properly. Knowing the qualities of various cooking oils may improve your cooking experience and encourage better cooking habits, especially with the abundance of alternatives available. 

Olive Oil 

The heart-healthy monounsaturated fats in olive oil give food a deep flavour and make it perfect for sautéing, salad dressings, marinades, and other similar uses. 

Coconut Oil 

Coconut oil adds a touch of sweetness to savoury and sweet foods alike, thanks to its high smoke point and unique flavour. It is often used in Asian and tropical cuisines.  

Canola Oil 

Canola oil's neutral flavour and multitude of uses make it a go-to for frying, baking, and all-around cooking. Plus, it has a high smoke point and little saturated fat level. 

Avocado Oil 

Avocado oil is great for high-heat cooking techniques like grilling and roasting since it is rich in monounsaturated fats and antioxidants, has a high smoke point, and has a subtle buttery flavour. 

Sunflower Oil 

Light and mild, this oil is neutral in flavour and extracted from sunflower seeds; it is great for baking, frying, and salad dressings because of its high vitamin E content and mildness. 

Sesame Oil 

Sesame oil, which is available in light and dark forms, is widely used in Asian cuisine due to its characteristic nutty flavour. The darker kind has a more powerful flavour. Stir-frying and as a finishing oil are two of its most common uses.
