A French-Canadian drink believed to have derived its name from another drink that consisted of a mixture of caribou blood and whisky.
While that drink was consumed by hunters and loggers during colonial times to stave off the cold while they were busy working, this cocktail is composed of red wine, whiskey, maple syrup and sugar.
35 ml whiskey 35 ml red wine Sugar as per taste A pinch of cinnamon 1 tbsp maple syrup
To make Caribou, take a glass and pour red wine into it followed by whiskey.
Mix it with maple syrup, sugar and cinnamon. Mix again and stir well. Serve.
