An incredibly delicious way to enjoy apples during the autumn-winter months, cold apples dipped in a gooey caramel sauce and sprinkled with toppings of your choice, are the ultimate treat to balance your guilty pleasure with a dose of health. Store them in an air-tight container or make edible gifts to carry to a party.

4 firm apples Wooden skewers 10-12 caramel toffees, unwrapped 2 tablespoons milk ¼ cup crushed Oreos

Add the caramel toffee and milk to a microwave-safe bowl and melt them, stirring once in the 2-minute duration.

Meanwhile remove the stem from the apples and gently pierce the tops with the sharp end of the skewer.

Dip each apple in the melted caramel sauce and roll in the crushed Oreos.

Place the caramel-coated apples on an oiled baking sheet for 10-15 minutes to let the caramel firm up.
