If you are a fan of South Indian food, you can never get enough idli sambar for breakfast. Imagine your breakfast spread with mini or button idli. It would look adorable and irresistible for you and your guests. Here is how to make them.
1 cup urad dal 1 cup rava idli Oil for greasing Salt as needed Water as required
Thoroughly rinse dal and soak it for at least 4-5 hours before cooking idli.
Drain the water from the lentils and blend them into a smooth batter with a thick consistency.
Rinse idli rava until you get rid of the starch. Mix it with the lentil batter.
Add salt and leave the batter to ferment for 6-8 hours.
Grease the small idli moulds and pour the batter in them.
Steam idli for 10-12 minutes before serving with chutney and sambar.
