You must have tried crispy, rava, Mysore, and masala dosa. One more addition to the category is bun dosa which is shaped like a thick disc and tastes delicious. You can pair it with your morning coffee or tea.
For Dosa ½ tsp methi dana 2 cup raw rice 1 tsp salt 1 cup poha Water for soaking 1 cup coconut For Tempering 1 tsp urad dal 2 tsp oil 3 chopped chillies 1 tsp mustard 7-8 curry leaves
Rinse and soak rice and methi. Drain the excess water after 4 hours and blend into a smooth paste.
Add poha and coconut to the mix. Pour ¾ cups of water to adjust the consistency.
Cover the lid and let the batter ferment for 8 hours.
Heat oil and saute curry leaves, mustard seeds, chillies, and urad dal.
Pour the tempering into the batter. Spread a thick layer of this batter on a hot tawa.
Roast the bun dosa on both sides and enjoy it with coconut chutney.
