1 cup chana dal 1/2 cup poha 2 tbsp urad dal salt as per taste 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tbsp ginger green chilli paste 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1/4 tsp asafoetida 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp roasted cumin powder

Wash chana dal, poha and urad dal and soak it for 7-8 hours. Now separate it from water and put it in mixer grinder and grind it smoothly. If necessary, add some water and grind it. Now put it in a deep vessel and cover it with a plate overnight.

Keep it aside so that it gets yeasted properly. Now add some water to the yeast solution (take care that the solution should not be too thick) along with green ginger paste, salt, asafoetida and mix well. Now add baking soda, lemon in a bowl.

Add juice and a little water, mix and pour it into the batter. Mix well with a spoon and grease the vessel for making Dhokla and pour it..
