Make some biscuit bakhri, it is a beautiful take on the traditional Gujarati bakhri, a suitable companion for tea with a distinct and delicious flavour that can be stored for a few weeks.
1 cup wholewheat flour 1/4 cup rava/semolina 1 tsp crushed jeera 1/2 tsp salt 1 tbsp oil 2 tbsp ghee 1/2 - 1 cup milk Ghee/oil for applying while roasting.
Take some whole wheat flour, add rava, crushed jeera, salt, little oil and ghee give it a good mix.
Now add some milk and knead it into a ifrm dough.
Let it rest for 15 minutes, roll the dough and cut it into medium sized circles.
Poke it with a knife so that it doesn't fluff while cooking. Now it's important that you focus on a low flame so that it gets as crispy as possible.
Apply some ghee and flipover press with a wooden presser or use a cloth and repeat the same. It's ready.
Store in an airtight jar, whenever you feel like eating just heat it up on a tawa for a few seconds and it’ll taste like freshly made. You can store this for a few weeks.
