If you’ve been feeling the Monday blues and find it difficult to get back to work, these foods would really help you get on track and feel energetic. 

From berries to chocolates, here’s all that you can have on a lazy Monday morning to boost your dopamine levels. 

Chocolate 

Chocolate contains tyramine which helps to uplift mood and make you feel alive. Whip up a hot chocolate or make some gooey chocolate pancakes for breakfast. 

Coffee 

A dose of caffeine goes a long way in keeping you up and about during the day. With its adenosine receptors, you’ll see the dopamine levels shooting up like never before. 

Unprocessed Meat 

Meats that are rich in protein are known to contain phenylalanine which increases dopamine and serotonin production in the body i.e. the happy hormones. 

Berries 

Moderately consuming berries as smoothies or in a fruit bowl can help increase dopamine since it contains quercetin which helps in its production. 

Dairy Products 

Now, you’d realise that drinking milk in the morning wasn’t that bad an idea. If you still don’t agree, opt for a yoghurt parfait or other dairy-based products.
