Digestion is not as simple as putting food in the mouth. It takes a long time to break the food components before the metabolism starts. While facing digestive issues, here are some foods that should be avoided.

Fried foods like samosa, pakoras, fries, onion rings, etc., have a high content of unhealthy fats and calories. Deep frying adds to the oil content of the food and forms complex compounds that are hard to digest.

Eating a lot of spicy food might be good for taste, but the stomach lining gets irritated because of it. They have the potential to cause underlying acid reflux and gastrointestinal discomfort.

Even though dairy products like milk, curd, paneer, cheese, and lassi are healthy, they should be avoided if you’re facing digestive discomfort. Due to their lactose content, proper digestion can take some time and increase the risk of cramps and bloating.

Packed or processed foods contain high levels of additives, preservatives, artificial flavours, and refined sugars. All of these disturb the balance of good bacteria in the gut and make digestion difficult.
