Tequila is a distilled beverage manufactured in Mexico from the blue agave plant and there are chances you might not be aware that there are several kinds of tequila available unless you're a connoisseur. Blanco tequila, reposado tequila, aejo tequila, extra aejo tequila, cristalino tequila, and jovan tequila are the most popular kinds.

Blanco Tequila

Tequila in its finest form. It perfectly captures the pure essence of the blue agave plant. Having experienced no ageing, this tequila is transparent and clear.

Reposado Tequila

Reposado Tequilas are noted for having notes of vanilla, honey, and roasted almonds in addition to their distinctive blue agave flavours.

Añejo Tequila

Añejo (meaning "vintage") tequila is slightly darker than reposado tequila since it is aged in barrels for one to three years. It's renowned for having a softer, sweeter flavour.

Joven Tequila

The term "joven" (which translates to "young") describes the blending of blanco and aged tequilas. This kind of tequila is frequently referred to as "gold" tequila due to its colour.

Extra Añejo Tequila

Extra añejos (or "ultra aged") tequilas are aged in a container with a maximum capacity of 600 litres for at least three years.

Cristalino Tequila

Tequila cristalino is a new variety of tequila. Despite being relatively new, it has grown in popularity due to its unique filtering procedure. Some people refer to it as the "vodka" of tequilas.
