Black Pepper Chicken Masala For A Perfect Weekend

Black pepper chicken masala is a delicious Indian meal consisting of soft chicken pieces cooked in a rich and aromatic sauce flavoured with the powerful aromas of black pepper and aromatic spices.

Ingredients

1 chicken cut   1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste 1 tbsp crushed black pepper (coarse tastes better) 2 tbsp white vinegar Salt to taste 4-5 green chilies 2 finely chopped onions 1 cup oil 2 cups beaten yoghurt at room temperature ¼ cup fresh cream or table cream Fresh coriander for garnish

Step 1 

Fry the chicken, ginger-garlic paste, 1 tsp. black pepper, green chilies, and vinegar in hot oil for a few minutes, or until the chicken is lightly browned.

Step 2 

Remove the pieces of chicken and set them aside. Reduce the oil. Now, throw in some onions and cook them until they're just starting to turn golden. Add mixed yoghurt, the rest of the black pepper, salt, and the chicken.

Step 3 

Just a few minutes over high heat should do it. Add some water, cover, and cook on low for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked. Put in the cream and stir it up! Garnish with garam masala powder and coriander leaves.
