For Vegetables ½ cup green peas 1 onion, tomato, carrot 15-20 French beans 3.5 cups of water 1 tsp rock salt 2 tbsp desiccated coconut ½ tsp rock salt 1 tbsp tamarind 2-3 small brinjals For Lentils ½ tsp turmeric ¾ cup toor dal 2 cups water
For Rice 2.5 cups water 1 cup rice A pinch of rock salt ¼ cup peanuts For Tempering 2-3 red chillies 3-4 tbsp ghee 18-20 cashews 1-2 Marathi moggu A pinch of asafoetida 1 tsp mustard seeds 12-15 curry leaves 3-4 tbsp ghee
Rinse and soak rice and peanuts for 20-25 minutes. Cook both of them on low heat.
Soak tamarind in hot water. Meanwhile, rinse and soak lentils. Cook tamarind, turmeric, and lentils in a pressure cooker,
In another pressure cooker, cook all the vegetables with salt and water until mushy.
Add rice, peanuts, and vegetables to the pressure cooker container dal. Let the ingredients on a low flame.
Temper bisi bele bath with green chillies, asafoetida, mustard seeds, and curry leaves. Enjoy!
