Marinate chicken with curd, coriander leaves, turmeric, cumin powder, black pepper, and salt. Allow it to marinate for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon, star anise, black cardamom, green cardamoms, cloves, chopped ginger-garlic, and onions. Cook until onions turn golden.
Add the marinated chicken and cook for 10 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and green chillies. Cook until tomatoes become mushy.
Stir in red chilli powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, and roasted black pepper.
Add soaked rice to the cooker and pour in water. The chicken should be partially cooked by now, and the rest will cook with the rice.
Seal the pressure cooker and cook for 2 whistles. Release the pressure, and your biryani is ready!
