If you are not in the mood to cook but still need something comforting to eat, Bihari aloo chokha is what you need. You can pair it with dal and roti or serve it with a bowl of hot rice topped with a dollop of ghee. Here is the recipe.
2 red chillies 4 boiled potatoes ½ teaspoon red chilli powder 1 tablespoon mustard oil 2 chopped onions Salt to taste 2 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
Wash the potatoes and boil them so that you can crumble them easily later.
Remove the skin of the aloo and crumble all of them in one bowl.
Heat a kadhai and add mustard oil to it. Add onion and green chillies.
After sauteing for a couple of minutes, add potatoes. You can add half a teaspoon of turmeric powder too.
Sprinkle red chilli powder and black pepper (optional). You can top it with lemon juice.
Garnish aloo chokha with coriander leaves before serving.
