Indulge in the seasonal flavours of Bhindi Masala, a popular Indian dish that uses humble okra to make a comforting lunch. Bursting with spices and aromatics, this vegetarian dish is a simple yet comforting meal.
250g okra (bhindi), washed and chopped 2 onions, finely chopped 2 tomatoes, finely chopped 2 green chilies, slit 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon garam masala Salt to taste Fresh coriander leaves for garnish Cooking oil
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, followed by chopped tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes soften. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
Add chopped okra and cook until tender. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve hot with roti or rice. Enjoy the deliciousness of Bhindi Masala!
